Surface Tension has been selected for the PubliQuartet PUBLIQ Access program at DiMenna Center in New York City

David’s string quartet Surface Tension is among seven pieces that has been selected for the PUBLIQ Access program with the PubliQuartet. Other works on the program include:

Eugene Birman – “String Quartet”
Peter Christian – “Fast / Cheap / Out of Control”
Gilad Cohen – “Jerusalem Stones”
Ted Goldman – “Tynexia”
Nahyun Kim – “Iracundia”
Luis Felipe Nieto Sachica – “Cantos Memoriales”

Each selected composer will join the PubliQuartet in New York City to attend a workshop and the showcase concert on Saturday, May 24, 2014. After the concert the composers will participate in a special post-concert discussion with notable new music performers and composers: Nadia Sirota (ACME, yMusic, Q2 Music), Mark Steinberg (Brentano Quartet), David Bowlin (ICE), and Laura Kaminksy (Composer).
